Patience is a Virtue!

Skin care products take time to work and everyone is different in terms of how soon they notice results.
Vitamin C
Known for its ability to brighten, it also leaves the skin with a dewy glow. This antioxidant rich vitamin does wonders for the skin because it helps create collagen. It also neutralizes free radicals which can cause fine lines, wrinkles and sunspots. Vitamin C helps with pigmentation by decreasing the production of melanin in the skin. With that said you need to use a product with at least 10″% Vitamin C and to be even more effective it needs to be paired with Vitamin E. Maximum benefits can be seen in 3 to 4 months.

Retinol
Undeniably the gold standard for preventing signs of aging and acne. Retinol increases the rate of cell turnover, which speeds up the process of sloughing away dead skin cells and stimulates new collagen production. When new collagen is made, it improves the appearance and texture of the skin, as well as fine lines and wrinkles, and helps prevent acne. Always use a SPF 30 along with any retinol because they can cause sun sensitivity. Also when starting to use retinol use it 3times a week until your skin gets used to it, then you can work your way up to every night. For the best results though it takes time, about 6 to 8 weeks.
PCA has 4 types of retinol for your particular skin problem. They have one for aging, acne, lightening and sensitive skin! They are all time released as well so they will work all night while your sleeping.

Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone is the best ingredient for fading dark spots, it does this by blocking the production of melanin in the skin. But here’s the thing you must use SPF30 daily at t he same time because the sun instigates dark spots. Best results are found when you pair the use of hydroquinone with chemical peels. Once again it takes time t o work but after about a month the dark spots will start to fade.
